Use 4 server with 3.5 client or vice versa or update togethe

With multuple clients at different sites, what is best way to update. Updating all clients and server all at the same time may not be practical.

Can SOS 3.5 client work with SOS 4.0 server .. in which case we could update our server first then get all clients updated.

Or can SOS 4.0 client work with SOS 3.5 server .. in which case we'd get all our clients up and running on 4.0 and then update the server.

Or do neither of these work and we'll have to synchronise the update .. which will probably mean having our source control offline for quite a while.

What do we do?

SOS 4.0 servers can talk to SOS 3.5x clients and SOS 3.5.3 servers can talk to SOS 4.0 clients.

So you don't have to upgrade the entire system at once.
