I've been having problems with a few files for months now, and nothing I can do will seem to fix it. The files are:
Global.asax.cs
Pleiades.cs
WebSession.cs
Basically, they are showing as not in Vault yet. I try to add them - I get told "None of the items in the selection are valid for this operation.". They are in Vault though - because this machine has been rebuilt (several times) recently, and I allowed VS.Net/Vault to retrieve my web project from Vault for me - and it retrieved those files, but then set about dis-associating them with Vault, and now I can't check them in or out. And it's consistently those files - I don't have problems with any other files (touch wood).
I have tried deleting them from Vault, re-adding them, getting the entire web project from Vault etc and nothing will work - any suggestions?

Can you set your server logging into debug mode, reproduce the error and then send us the sgvault.log file? Post it here or email to support at sourcegear.com. Be sure to provide a link to this post in your email.

Not much point - nothing gets logged at all. The error is pretty instant, and I've looked at the logs and there is nothing there.

I've just deleted them from Vault, Obliterated everything, deleted them from the project and then re-added them. I right clicked on the project, selected Check In and in the dialog displayed, none of those files are preset.

If this is a Visual Studio integration issue, I would suggest unbinding and rebinding the project or solution, or simply doing an Open From Source COntrol to a new working folder, in order to reset the state between VS and Vault.

I've already done the "Open From Source Control" at least twice after PC rebuilds, and I always get the same problems back again.
