Vault and CruiseControl (NOT CruiseControl.NET)

Post by JerryShea » Mon Sep 19, 2005 8:45 pm

Hi, has anyone built a Vault plugin for Java CruiseControl?

I was wondering the same thing. Since we support C and C++ application on Linux, Window, and Solaris, having a Vault plugin for vanilla CruiseControl would be downright essential.

This doesn't look promising.

I suppose then, it's time to write our own?

I'll log a feature request for a "vanilla" CruiseControl plugin, but we don't have a timeframe for implementation. It might be something users would want to collaborate on. We have a Vault server for community development: vaultpub.sourcegear.com.

I'm fairly sure there's a route to do this work already in place. Perhaps if any has any experience with writing or testing the other cruisecontrol plugins, such as for VSS, they can chime in.

If there are any other Vault customers who would like to collaborate on a Vault CruiseControl plugin, feel free to contact me at:

jjeffers@accipiter.com

I think we could investigate how to construct a CC plugin. Perhaps we can also talk about how to do the work and distirbute the results?
