Application Detection

I am writing (in C++) a wrapper for the soscmd command line client and I was wondering if there is any way I can detect whether or not the SOS GUI client is running. Are there any environment variables or registry keys set to indicate that it's running?

No, there are no environment variables or registry keys that indicate when the GUI client is running.
