Yesterday I performed a "get" on an entire directory of files stored in Vault. I checked out only one of these files, a vb source file. The team I work with stores binaries with the source. Since these binaries were marked as read-only, and prevented me from compiling, I used Explorer to search them all out, used Ctl-A to select them all, then flipped the read-only switch off on the entire group of files.
It is my understanding this should only give these files "renegade" status on my machine.
Today I was informed that at some point yesterday I performed a bulk check-in of all these binaries. Aside from when I selected these files in Explorer to toggle the read-only attribute, I have never selected them as a group, seen them as a group, and I certainly NEVER checked them in.
I need to know how this happened.

Undesired Check-In of multiple files.

I have attempted to reproduce this problem with no luck, so I am going to need to get some additional information from you.
How were the binary files added to the VB Solution? Using the Vault Client or VS.Net?
When you changed the read-only flag on the binary files did the status for these files actually change to "renegade"?
What type of VB Project are you using?
Thanks,

The addition of the files to the solution is the big mystery.
I am not certain about the renegade status because I did not think to check it. I have completely blown off my entire file structure and downloaded the entire solution and all files, repeated the steps mentioned previously (changed read-only attribute on binary files) and looking in the Vault I see no files listed with renegade status.
Most of the projects produce class libraries, if that is what you were asking when you said "What type of VB Project are you using?".
I myself have been unable to reproduce the problem, but considering the havoc it created the first time I am a little reluctant to go at it with any enthusiasm.
Thank you for your time!

You have successfully checked out the same file and checked it back in without checking in all of the binary files that you did the first time?I myself have been unable to reproduce the problem, but considering the havoc it created the first time I am a little reluctant to go at it with any enthusiasm.
