Is it possible to integrate SourceOffSite client with Visual Studio 2005 beta 2?

We tested SOS with VS 2005 earlier this year and integration worked, but there may have been changes in VS 2005 since then. So it's not fully supported at this time, but will be closer to final release.

Note: SOS does NOT support Visual SourceSafe 2005 at this time because of issues introduced in the VSS 2005 automation component. Again, we will support this at a later date.

The problem with the automation component was within VSS 2005 and should be resolved in their final release. As of right now, there should be no need for a new SOS Client but I would suggest using the latest version of SOS which is currently 4.1.2.

We are supporting SOS 4.1.2 with VSS 2005. We have not tested earlier 4.x versions with VSS 2005, so we recommend upgrading to SOS 4.1.2 (clients and server) if you plan to use VSS 2005.
