MSDE 2000

Two questions:

Does MSDE 2000 need to already be installed or does the Vault Server install it if it does not exist?

Can I install the Vault Server on XP Professional? According to the notes on the installation, either 2003 or 2000 Server are required?

MSDE 2000 needs to be installed first. It's not part of the Vault installation.

Vault will run on XP Pro. We recommend a server-class machine because they generally have more system resources, but if you have a small database and development team, XP Pro may be adequate.
