About Using Groups

I'm assuming that I can create a Group, assign users to it, and then assign a group to a Repository. That way only users in that Group can access the Repository.

Is that the way Groups are to be used? If so, how do I add a Group to a Repository? I've created my Groups and added Users but don't see how I can add access for a group to a paticular Repository.
