SQL Server 2005 now has triggers available for changes to DDL changes. This means if you do an "ALTER PROC", or other similiar statement a trigger can fly, that could do anything.

It would be nice if Vault would come out with a tool to integrate with SQL 2005 and store history of proc changes etc. I've looked into other tools, but they always fall short of what I really want.

Is there a better forum for this?

We often get asked about integration with SQL Server tools. Right now, Vault treats SQL files like any other files.

I'll log a feature request for specific integration with SQL 2005.
