I think four lines is far to much for this info:
Code: Select all
[12-08-2005 13:19:30] Version Check: This 'Version Check' can be disabled in the Options dialog.
[12-08-2005 13:19:30] Version Check: This Vault client is version 3.1.1.3506
[12-08-2005 13:19:30] Version Check: Your Vault server is version 3.1.1.3506
[12-08-2005 13:19:30] Version Check: The following information was retrieved from the SourceGear website. No information was sent to SourceGear.
[12-08-2005 13:19:30] Version Check: The most recent Vault release is version 3.1.1.3506
Perhaps yopu could simply write:
Code: Select all
[12-08-2005 13:19:30] Version Check: Client and Server: 3.1.1.3506 (= most recent)

True. But there are often cases where client and server are different versions and neither is the latest version.
This version check can be turned off in the GUI Client under Tools->Options->General->Do Version check at startup.

I am interested in this information, I just don't think the message should be so elaborate when there is really nothing to say.
If the versions are different you can write a more elaborate mesage.
