csproj is considered as binary file?

Post by Tri » Fri Jul 29, 2005 9:00 am

Client + Server 3.07:

A csproj file has a "Need Merge" status. When selecting "Show Merge", a dialog box pops up with the following msg: "Binary file can not be merged. If the file status is changed to Edited, you can check in the file, overwritting the version currently in the repository. Do you want to set the file status to Edited?"

A csproj file is in XML format, is there any reason for Vault to treat it as binary?

I don't think it's a problem with XML, but rather that *.csproj files are not considered mergeable by default in Vault.

Check in your Vault Admin Tool under Repository Options->Mergeable files and add *.csproj to the list of file extensions.
