Every so often, the SosService.exe pegs the CPU and won't clear up until that service is restarted. It's running on a Windows 2000 Server (Service Pack 4). It's the SourceOffsite Classic Professional Edition 4.0.2.151
Does anybody know what causes this and if there's a patch or setting that will reduce the occurrences without having to restart the SosService? Thanks

We've had reports of this from time to time but there doesn't seem to be a specific cause. Sometimes SOS operations take all the processing power that's available.
The next time you experience this, you might check the SOS Server log.txt file in the SOS Server directory to see if the server's logging any errors or if it's just processing a particularly large number of operations.
