Deleted file shown again

I'm testing Vault 3.1 release version.

I used admin to check-in/check-out one files several times and used another username to check the result. Then at last I used admin to delete and obliterate it.

Now I used the username rather than admin to log in, and found the ghost file is still there! But I can not delete it, it will cause exceptions! And I can not refresh the file list, it will cause exceptions too. Once I use admin to log in, the ghost file is not there!

How to remove this ghost file?

Each Vault user has their own set of client-side cache files. Find the cache file that corresponds to your username and delete it.

OK, after doing that, it is gone.

Is there any automatical way to do this?

Also when I log in using the web browser, click the deleted file in the "recent checkins", a runtime error will be shown.

Not in the current version of Vault. We do have a feature request logged for an option to reset the client tree. I'll add your "vote."

We've had other reports of this, and it's been logged to our bug database.
