SOS not updating properly

Post by tacheeze » Wed Jul 20, 2005 4:06 am

I have two instances of files not updating properly. A new file will not download in spite of explicitly checking force download, the file on my machine remains 0kb in size (the file is created but no characters are added). If I view the file from the SOS client I see the code but after repeated attempts I can not get it to download to my machine. Also I have not been able to get the latest version of a project file in spite of repeated attempts it remains the previous version. If I delete these files and get them a fresh I still get the old or 0kb versions.[/img]

Do other users experience this problem? Can you download properly from another machine when logged in as you? In other words, is this machine-specific, user-specific or project/file specific?

Is there any type of firewall or personal firewall on you machine that might prevent certain types of files/file sizes from being downloaded?

All users see the same problem, so it is not user/machine/firewall issue.

Also it is occuring over two databases that SOS connects to

By any chance, are your using an AT&T cable modem or a LinkSys router?

Afraid not, the connections are local LAN, VPN, and port forwarding thorugh firewall

The next step would be to run Analyze on your VSS database, first with -f then with -c parameters.

tacheeze,

Is there an update to this issue? I'd like to see how it was resolved.

Thanks,
