Status Bar in a Loop

When I launch Vault and choose a repository that has its working folder on a network drive, my status bar repeats the files over and over and over endlessly. I have to kill the process in order to exit Vault. The repository only has 15 files.

Any idea what to do or what caused this.

Did this just start happening? Can you tell what it's looping on? Can you decipher any kind of message?
