Hi,
I just setup Vault 3.0.6 and I'm not able to login.
-Vaultweb :
Login Failed
-Vault Admin Tool or Vault Client
Unable to connect to http://localhost/VaultService. No server was found at the specified URL. Please verify your network settings using the Options dialog under the Tools menu in the Vault GUI Client. Web Exception: The request failed with HTTP status 401: Access Denied.
I checked :
the anonymous access is allowed.
the Execute permissions is "script only".
I have not Sharepoint installed.
I tried to use/not use the proxy for the connections.
I setuped and use Dragnet without any troubble.
I'm sure of my password of 1 letter (the encrypted password is far bigger).
If you have any idea, it would be great.
Thanks
Christophe

If you go to http://localhost/VaultService/vaultservice.asmx in a web browser do you get the vault service web page or an error page?
Is Vault Service running as an application in IIS?
It may be helpful if you sent me your vault install log (vault_install.log) located in your temp directory (%temp%). You can use the email link at the bottom of this message to email it to me directly.

Hi Mary Jo,
the http://cioint02.us007.siemens.net/Vault ... rvice.asmx is working fine.
I checked Internet Information Services through Internet Services Manager (Administrative tool) and VaultService is listed (like Dragnet). So I think it's running as an IIS application. But actually, I'm a new bee in this technologies, so let me know if I'm wrong.
I would like to join the log file but you didn't wrote your email address and I can't attach anything with this forum. so I will copy it at the end of the message.
Thanks
Christophe
