Logging on can cause server to Hang or crash
I am using SourceOffsite 4.0 professional with 3 others in my office. Sometimes the server can cause the client programs to hang including the MS VS IDE 2003 and the SourceOffsite IDE.
Hi, Arthur.
Just for the record, the correct terminology for the clients is the IDE (Integrated Development Environment) client if you are using SOS within VS.NET. The SourceOffSite client (not integrated in VS.NET) is called the GUI client, standalone client or Windows Client.
Now back to the issue.
When you say the SOS Server is causing the clients to hang, do you mean the SOS Server crashes or hangs and needs to be restarted before users can connect again?
If so, see if this KB article is relevant:

If this isn't the issue, we could use more details of what's happening on the client and/or server side, any error messages, etc.
