Error during transaction

Post by bill.turk » Fri Jun 03, 2005 8:49 am

Hi,

One of my colleagues tried to do the following yesterday and it screwed something up - not sure what it is. She checked out an entire folder tree, deleted her local files, replaced them with the updated files, and tried to check in. She got an error during the check in transaction. So, she tried to delete the folder structure in the repository in order to just add the updated files [we dont care about history for these files, these aren't source code files], but Vault wouldn't let her delete the folder. Now, from any of our logins, we are not able to delete the folder or any subfolder or even a file within the structure.

I have attached the log file from the server.

Thanks,
Prasanna.

We will get back to you on this issue ASAP. In the meantime, could you let us know exactly which version of Vault you are using?

Thanks.

Prasanna:

I sent an email about restarting the 3.0.7 server. Did you receive this mail?

I'll need some more information here.

1) Are the changes for this user in the same repository we fixed in the end of April?

2) Was the server upgraded at that time?

3) Have any changes been made in this folder since April?

Yes.

2) Was the server upgraded at that time?

Yes. (on May 9th 2005)

3) Have any changes been made in this folder since April?

No, there is only one version of all files in this folder structure -- created 03/25/2005.

OK. It could have been this folder had some leftover information before the fix.

Is there anything shared within the folder (sbu Files or Folders)? What path was being used for this transaction?

Also, If you want a more private conversation, you can use the email button below this post.

We fixed this up offline. This repository was fixed at the end of April. One of the sub folders was missed in the fix.

Once we took a look at the repository's folder, the problem was resolved.
