Modified Date Not Used With VS .NET SOS Integration

Post by TerryD » Thu Jun 02, 2005 10:07 am

Hi,

We are using SOS client 4.1, VS .NET 2003, and the SSAPI.DLL is 6.0.93.50.

When Getting Latest we want to see the modified date of the files, not the current date (when viewed from Windows Explorer). The options in SOS client, VSS Explorer, and VS .NET are all set to use the modification date.

When getting a file using either SOS Client or VSS Explorer, the correct date is visible; however, when getting latest within VS .NET (and SOS), the current date is applied to fetched files. Before SOS was installed, VS .NET (and VSS) would apply the modification date.

Is there something we can do to ensure VS .NET with SOS uses the modification date?

I was able to reproduce it; it appears to be a bug. I'm not sure there's a workaround, but we'll investigate further.

I'll log this as a bug to be fixed in our next release.
