Creating a label on working folder files?

Is it possible to create a label on the version that is in your working folder?

For intstance, I get latest version. Someone else checks out and edits, etc. I want to use my copy for testing purposes. Can I set the label on my outdated version?

Is there another way to do this?

You can label an old version in the repository from the History Explorer, but there isn't a way to label what currently exists on the local working folder (unless the state of your working folder exactly matches a historical version in the repository).
