Vault versus SVN

I need to know if Vault supports all the features provided by SVN.
We have VSS and SourceOffSite working now. We are about to launch Version 1 of our code and we need to patch Version 1 whilst working on Version 2. We have read that VSS does not do this well.

We haven't done a detailed comparison of Vault to Subversion (SVN).

You should be able to do what you need with Vault, as Vault supports label, branch and has a very nice merge branches wizard.
