Exception defining profile repository

When editing a profile, if the password entered in the password field is incorrect, pressing "Get Repository List" in 3.0.5 causes an error message "Unable to connect to the vault server. Check your user name, password, and server and try again". Doing this in 3.0.7 (on a different machine) causes an unhandled exception with "You must be logged in to perform this operation."

The same server is used in both cases, running 3.0.5.

That's on the list of annoyances to fix in 3.1.

Would this also cause the following error when clicking on the Show Merge button in the pending change set when the vault server is unreachable?

Show Merge failed. File: $/... Exception: Exception of type VaultClientOperationsLib.GetLatestVersionFailedException was thrown.

No, I don't think that's related.
