Default History Sort Order

Post by montek » Wed Apr 27, 2005 2:39 pm

When you right-click a file and show history, the default order is date descending. Is there a way to change this on the server to version descending?

If there is no way to do this, then I am requesting such a feature in the future.

You should be able to do this now.

Show History to bring up the History Explorer. Before you run the query, select the Sort tab, then in the first dropdown, choose sort by "version" and click the radio button for Ascending.

I will add a feature request for the ability to save queries or set different defaults.

Correct. I realize we can change the sort order every time, but that's not convenient. Hence, the server default question/suggestion. =) Actually, I suppose just saving a user's default might be easier and that would work too.

While we're at it, it would be helpful if the column headers actually sorted the data; I doubt I'm the only one who believes this.

As always, thanks!

Yeah, we've talked about both of those things (saved queries and sorting) here before. I looked around for a previous thread that I was involved in where we talked about saved queries and such, but I couldn't find it.
