Importing From Multiple VSS DBs

Hello All.

I have a very simple question (I think).

Once I purchase and set up Vault, I would imagine I could import all of my current VSS databases (that are scattered around my organization on different servers) into a single Vault repository. I would imagine I would do this by simply running the Import Wizard multiple times and specifying the same Vault repository as the target for each import.

Is this correct?

You could do that, but we recommend against it. Because Vault performance for some operations is linear with the number of nodes in the repository, it's best to have smaller repositories. Sourcegear recommends creating separate repositories for projects that are not related. This could be accomplished in your case by selecting a new repository for every import.
