Single User (free) -> Upgrade to Multiple users

Post by Eric » Wed Apr 20, 2005 9:35 am

I am trying to talk my company into going with some form of source code control. We have one main developer (myself) one backup developer (my boss) and one part-time Excel Forms person.

I got hooked on source code control several years ago. The company I worked for then insisted on using source code control (as well as some great development standards) and I am at a loss when I can't use either.

I am going to install Vault as a single (free) user right now, but I would like to migrate to a paid package (with Gold support) later. How will having a free install affect the upgrade? Will my use just become one of the licenses, or what?

This should not be a problem. As soon as you enter the license number, your existing user as well as other users will be mapped to the licenses.
