PreScan Suddenly Stops

I am trying to migrate a section of my VSS database to Vault and the Pre-Scan progress bar is frozen. I can't click back or next. I can only click cancel.

here is the error from the log.

Cannot insert duplicate key row in object 'tblusers' with unique index 'idxuserlogins'.
The statement has been terminated.

Any ideas on what this means?

I just talked to Tom, and explained that the usual causes of Import hangs are:

1. Using VSS 6.0d
2. Running out of memory on the import machine.

Both of these causes seemed possible.
