Just installed a demo 3.0.5 version onto a 2K Server pointing to a separate 2K SQL Server box. Server installed correctly, client and admin tools installed correctly. I was able to browse, add, delete items from a newly created repository from the client app on another machine.
Everything seemed great... until I remote desktop home and attempt to open the client from there, simulating remote use. I attempt to log in the client app with the same admin credentials that worked while on the same domain as the server and I get this error immediately...
"Server was unable to process request --> Object reference not set to an instance of an object"
NOTES:

I made sure the log file was there C:\WINNT\Temp\sgvault and has the correct permisssions (nothing makes it to the log after the error).
I have verified that I can reach the test page from the remote machine as well as accessing the web service.
Generally everything seems to be working flawlessly as long as I'm on the same domain as the server.

WHO'S THE RE-RE..... ME!!!
I downloaded the wrong version of the client from home the other night and the current version at work today. 2.0.6 client wouldn't connect to a 3.0.5 server. Just tested it and everything is working fine now.
