Concurrent checkouts.

Post by pathurun » Tue Mar 15, 2005 11:52 am

1. How to enable Concurrent checkouts?
2. If one of the user has a project/file checked out i am wondering if Admin can select the file/project and do undo checkout. Is this feature implemented. Please let me know.
Thanks.

This is a client side setting. If you look in the General options, make sure "Always request exclusive locks" is unchecked. Also note, all non-mergeable files can only be checked out exclusively. Assuming the file has not been tagged as "Binary", this is controlled by file extension. The Vault Admin Tool has a per repository listing of files which are considered mergeable by file extension.

The user can always undo their checkout. Also the Vault Admin Tool can Undo a checkout lock against any user within the repository.

Post by pathurun » Tue Mar 15, 2005 5:50 pm

I have left a voice mail and sent an email to Dixie asking her about extending the temporary license that we are evaluating. I have not received any response yet and the email to her got bounced. If someone can contact me i will appreciate it.
Thanks.

Dixie is simply on vacation. The "bounce" you received was merely a vacation autoresponder.
