SOS 4.1 Hangs at "Logging In"

I setup SOS Server 4.1 to access two VSS databases, but each time a client (also version 4.1) tries to login, it hangs at "Logging in..."

To fix the problem, I have to restart the SOS Server service. Then, it will work for a short period of time (sometimes less than a minute) before it will start hanging at "Logging in" again for any user that tries to connect.

I ran Analyze and Fix a couple of times on each of the databases -- a few problems were found and fixed. Now, if I run Analyze, it tells me that no problems or inconsistencies were found.

What should I try next? I have attached the log -- I realize that there were "File or project not found" errors on 2/28, but analyze/fix has been run several times since then. I recommended SOS to my company, so everyone is looking to me as to why it's not working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This part of the log indicates you may be experiencing a concurrency crash.

SourceSafe is 6.0d, and I tried the registry change with no avail. Everything still behaves the same. The users claim that it works fine until they try retrieving files. Basically, the user tries to download local copies of several files. 10 or so files will download fine, and then after it just hangs at "Receiving file: $/project/filename.h". After that, the service must be restarted before anyone can do anything in SourceSafe (login, retrieve another file, etc). This doesn't always happen with the same file...one time it will download fine, and the next time it will hang.

Any other ideas?
