Stuck with checked out file

A user checked out a file exclusively, and the client computer where the checkout occured was accidentally reimaged before the file was checked back in. Now no actions can be performed on the file - cannot undo checkout, cannot redo checkout, cannot check in, cannot delete the file.

You should be able to undo the check out using the admin tool.

Greg's suggestion should work just fine.

You didn't specify which version of Vault you are using, but in Vault 3.x, the user can undo their own checkout regardless of where the file was checked out.
