Search for folders with a specific name and delete them

Post by Ramesh » Thu Feb 24, 2005 12:37 pm

Is there a way to search for all occurences of a folder named "foo" in the repository and delete them (and their contents)? Similar question for filenames also, e.g., mssccprj.scc...

Thanks!

In 3.0, you can search for filenames, but not for folders names in the Search pane. This will display the file names, but to delete them, you would need to double-click each one and delete it from the file tree.

We have on our list of things to do the ability to apply an action to all items that result from a search at the same time.

Dan,
Along with performing an action on all files in a search result set, I'd like to be able to perform any action via the context menu on the file in the search window that I could do to it in the main folder tree. I.e. Check Out, Get Latest Version, Show History, Undo Checkout, etc.

Context menu "enablement" is already in the feature request list, and I bumped its priority up - we've had a number of requests for it.

Not to menion that it's a really good idea.
