Error when trying to open a solution from source control

Hello:

I am using Visual Studio 2003 and SOS 4.0.

Whenever another developer adds a new solution to source control and I try to retrieve it using the "File/Source Control/Open From Source Control" Visual Studio menu option, the following error message is returned:

"An error occurred when you attempted to access the source control system. Check your solution's source control bindings."

I would appreciate any insight into what may be happening.

Do you already have a copy of this solution in your working directory -- possibly from a get from the GUI Client?

When you open from Source Contro you should do a get into a clean directory.

I was receiving this error message even though there were no working copies of the solutions on my machine.

Not quite sure what has changed, but after a couple of reboots, the issue seems to have resolved itself.
