UI Enhancement request (viewing label comments)

Post by mlippert » Wed Feb 09, 2005 5:26 pm

As far as I can tell there is no way to get a dialog similar to that used to create a label to view it.

Among other things this means that if you've entered a comment of more than a word or 2 it is difficult to read, and it you've entered a paragraph or 2 it's impossible.

I'd also like to be able to edit a label comment (mainly to clarify or fix a typo), but also not to edit it so much as to copy it to the clipboard to put somewhere else.

The ability to edit label comments was already in our feature request list, and I've added one for a label details dialog.

Thanks for the wishlist. Feel freet to post anything else you think of.

Thanks.

OK, well I just noticed that when I view a version's (changeset's) details I see the list of filenames in that changeset, but not where those files are actually located. That's sort of a problem, because we certainly have a lot of files in different folders with the same name (stdafx.h for example).

And also from that dialog I would very much want to see the diff of the file from its previous version (ie what specifically was changed in this file for this changeset).

Thanks,
Mike

(I'll post more wishes as I encounter them, we're just getting started using Vault here).
