Question re Check-in behaviour

Post by christian » Tue Feb 01, 2005 10:53 am

Quick question,
I've accepted the default options for Check-in so that unchanged files have their check-out undone.
What exactly does "unchanged" mean in this context. I ask 'cause I have a file that I've checked out, changed some text and then backed these changes out using undo. So the content of the file is unchanged and the status of the file in the pending change set says - Details: Size unchanged, Type: Modified. When I do a diff against this file in the pending change set it tells me that the file are identical. So if I check-in this change set will the file above have its version number incremented or will its check-out be undone?

Thanks
Christian

The checkout will be undone and the file version will not increment.

Cool, that's what I was hoping.
