Error: Could not find file

Post by davecard » Thu Jan 20, 2005 11:03 am

i had a few files checked out of one of the projects we were working on, and decided to do a windows diskcleanup, and im thinking it wiped a vault temp folder or something, b/c now when i try to enter that repository a Could not file file "C:\Documents and Settings\dcardine\ApplicationData\SourceGear\Vault_1\a91b2638-4810-AA1a-74196993725b\Dave\_sgvault\776693366\41182.150592"
error comes up in a popup and doesnt respond to the "OK" click that is in the window. Only way to get out is to kill it in task manager.

is there any way i can get this to work properly again? I already tried removing sgvault and reinstalling.

thx
dave

You might need to remove the state files starting with the a91b2638-4810-AA1a-74196993725b folder. It looks like some of the state files there are references an _sgvault file lower that no longer exists.

Note that doing this will cause all working folders and file state associated with that repository to go away, and all your files will become Unknown. We handle Unknown files a lot better in 3.0, but in the version you are on, you will need to re-get all the files, and any changes you've made will be lost unless you remember which files you changed.
