Next Release of Dragnet

I am wondering when the next release of Dragnet is planned and what feature enhancements are being planned (knowing that some feature may fall out based on deadlines and such).

You have asked a question which has no answer.

We don't have anything to say yet about the next release of Dragnet. We certainly do plan to continue improving the product, and user feedback will be a strong guide for our decisions about new features.

Can you say if you typically try to release a version every year? Will the next release be in the Oct - Dec window?

I am playing around with the current version now and will definitely be providing feedback on what I would like to see in the next version(s).

We typically do release at least one new version per year.

Dragnet will have at least one new version released this year, (there may actually be more than one new release this year).

The time frame will depend on the feature set. The next major release will be in the Oct-Dec time frame at the latest. It is possible there will be a new feature release before that time frame.

Just wanted to suggest some very important enhancements for the next Dragnet release...

1) Ability to add more custom fields

2) Abillity to view the custom fields on a query (using the custom column name instead of 'Custom1', 'Custom2', etc.)

3) Option to REQUIRE associating to a valid bug/issue number on check-in (actually a Vault enhancement).

Is it likely these could be included in 1.0.2?

Any update on target date for availability of 1.0.2?

Dragnet 1.0.2 is a bug fix release, but it does include some features. 1.0.2 will be released probably within the week and it is code complete at this point.

This has been requested before and I will add your vote to the request. We are planning on doing for this for the next major feature release, but it will not make it into the 1.0.2 release. This will probably be a 2.0 feature (which will be out by the end of the year).

This is a Vault feature and will be included in the Vault 3.1 release.
