Are there issues with upgrading directly from 2.06 to 3.01 of Vault? I tried installing/upgrading my current v2.06 version to 3.01 and now i can't get anything to run. The new install seems to have screwed up everything related to Vault.
The first time I just installed 3.01 in hopes it would just upgrade everything as needed, but it seemed to have actually made it so the client no longer runs at all, and the admin tool won't connect to vault server either. Then i uninstalled everything, but left the database alone. I reinstalled v3.01 and i noticed that it did not create icons for the client or admin tools and in fact, if i go under the SourceGear directory the client subdirectory is empty. If i try to run the admin tool directly from the admin subdirectory, it gives me an Error 0 when it try to connect to vault server with no other error description and just quits.
ideas?
i am running on WindowsXP-SP1

We haven't had reports of this type of problem.
Does the install appear to succeed or are there any error messages during installation?
Are you logged into the machine as Admin when installing Vault and installing from the C: drive of the machine rather than from a network drive?
Could you email a copy of the vault_install.log file to linda at SourceGear.com
