I didn't see this issue within:
On one workstation now (Version 2.0.6), when the user does a "Get Latest Version", it pulls down all the files properly, but also writes a copy of EVERY SINGLE file to the user's Desktop. I have verfied that the right path exists on the local machine, and right clicking on "Explore working folder" does in fact invoke an explorer pointing to the right directory.
Deleting a file from the desktop doesn't update Vault, but deleting it from the working folder has Vault respond with "Missing", meaning it's looking in the right place. So it's only the fact that it's writing HUNDREDS of files to the user's desktop that is the issue - only one out of ten workstations it's happening on, and to note: No software/hardware changes/updates, and it just started this morning.
PLEASE - How do we prevent this from writing to a user's desktop???
thanks.
Joe
Get Latest Version also writing to user's Desktop

Vault stores a copy of each file as a baseline in %userprofile%/Application Data/SourceGear. It should not go to the desktop, unless the %userprofile% environment variable has been set to the desktop.
Can you verify where %userprofile% points to?
Note that there is an option to store these files in the working folders (in Tools->Options), but a lot of people don't like that, because on a search, it will find duplicate files.
