Adding existing project to source control

I have an existing solution locally which I set up on the SS Server and added all files (not through Source Off Site) but while working on the server. All projects are subprojects of the master solution (except the web project).

I would like to now put the solution under source control. I keep getting unspecified error while trying to Add Connect/Source Safe.

Are you using integrated SourceOffSite or SourceSafe?

Which version of SourceSafe are you using?

Which version of Visual Studio are you using?
