4.1 Final Server Install
I have 4.0.5 on the server now, running the 4.1 install, it doesn't appear it is remembering the prior installation information, i.e. location! Isn't it supposed to simply upgrade the prior versions of 4.x?

It looks like we have to manually uninstall the beta client first, that wasn't automatically upgraded which could have been handled by the installer via MSI "Major" upgrade.

Here is my synopsis:
1) The client (beta and/or any previous) must be manually uninstalled prior to installing the 4.1 final client
2) The server, on two separate server installs, failed to upgrade the 4.0.x installation. When the 4.1 final installation completed it tries to go to the Vault admin web site but fails to do so. It doesn't look like it's configuring IIS properly. On both occasions I had to uninstall the Vault Server, take the database offline and then online as it locks it in single user access and doesn't release this lock, then install the 4.1 server again and all works fine.
I had the same issue in an earlier 4.0.x server update so it's something in the installation script. I've also seen the server upgrade script halt at some point in the midst of the process yet present me with an OK button and the "if you are installing the client then..." etc. But the install does NOT complete and rolls back.
So if you want to eliminate headaches with this troublesome installer, just uninstall the client and server and then install them fresh, there is nothing you'll lose as the database remains and you'll just save yourself the time and headaches.
Moving on with 4.1 final now...
