Hello,
I hope someone can help me with this. I recently had my computer crash on me and I had to get a new one. Luckily I saved my code off to a memory stick earlier that day. Howver, I lost everything else including my vault repository.
I have since installed vault on a different computer than the one that I am development. This is a clean install. On the computer that I am doing development on I loaded up my project that I saved to the memory stick.
Now, I want to add that project to the vault. I was first getting and object reference error. I then went in and deleted the hidden sg_bak folders that are created by vault. Now, when I try to go add the project to source control the option is not there at all.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Braden Powers
Adding a project that was under vault protection before...

Yeah, I didn't make a back up. I will now, plus it on a separate box.Beth wrote:I'm assuming you didn't make any backups of your Vault database and that it was on the computer that crashed?
Did you move the project off the memory stick to a location on your drive?
Did you go in Visual Studio to Tools - Options - Source Control and set it to use Vault?
Yes, I moved the project to hard drive under its normal designation under my docs.
Yes, Vault is selected as the source control option.
