Vault, Vista, ...

Post by durilai » Wed Dec 05, 2007 11:22 am

I know this is probably information available, but I am not finding what I need.

I am trying to install Vault on a Vista Ultimate machine. I am going to be a single user so I will be installing the server and client.

Is it correct that because of Vista I need to use 3.5.2, or is 4.x supported? If not is it expected?

Lastly, it says that Vault is free for a single user. Where do I get the license for it. Or do I just use it as is?

I appreciate any response. A great product, just want to make sure I am using it correctly.

The Vault server for version 4.x is not supported on 64 bit Vista.

Our KB article on this was a little confusing, so I've updated it:

The single user version does not need a license. As long as you only add one username, it will work. Once you add another user, you will need two licenses.
