You should add feature to the DIFF tool to support:
1. DIFF of any version in repoitiry to any folder/file on the file system
2. DIFF any two repository version

This should already be possible with the current Diff/Merge tool.
From the Client, SG Diff/Merge allows you to diff against:
-- the last version retrieved from the repository
-- the version in the repository now
-- a label applied to the file/folder
-- any local file/folder
-- any repository file/folder
You can do the same diff on historical versions by doing Show History, selecting the version and Action->Diff.
You can also Diff two different versions of the same file/folder in History Explorer by selecting the versions and evoking Diff.
Let me know if there's something else you'd like Diff to do.
