Fortress installation crashes

When installing fortress the installation crashes when creating the VaultService virtual directory.

The output before crashing shows

Successfully exited Website Check...
You chose to put Fortress on website: 'IIS://LocalHost/W3SVC/1/Root'
Creating Virtual Directory, VaultService...

I am installing on a machine running Vista Ultimate

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Is this 64-bit or 32-bit Vista Ultimate?

Fortress server is not yet supported on 64-bit Vista.

If this is 32-bit Vista Ultimate, what happens when the installation crashes? Is there an error message? Anything in the Windows Event Viewer?

Is Vault supported for 64bit systems?
