Concurrent development with Windows XP and Vista

Post by cac123 » Thu Jul 05, 2007 11:09 am

I am running into an annoying problem where the bindings are configured for Windows XP directory structure on my work PC and on my home PC I am running Vista so if I do a check in the bindings are configured for Vista directory structure. Is there a setting somewhere on the client that will allow me to work on a project on both XP and Vista without having to change the bindings all the time?

What version of Vault are you using?

Did you perform a fresh open from source control on your Vista machine?
Does the client on each machine have it's own working folders?

I ran into the same problem. Our solution was to manually edit the project file and replace all the hard coded paths with reletive paths. I don't think this is something that can be fixed in vault, it's more of problem due to the change in where "My Documents" was moved to in Vista.
