Check out working directory missmatch

I am having a strange problem. Using the client when I do a checkout the file is checked out and placed into my working directory.
However when I use the command line the file gets checked out, but to the folder where I execute the command from.
Any ideas as to what would cause this?

Found the source of the problem.
We had recently changed domains and the code "-soshome" was pointing to the wrong domain.
