We currenlty are running SOS 3.5.3 Server and it is configured with many users and the corresponding license keys.
I am unable to perform a Symantec Ghost on the entire system as I have run into some issues so I would at least like to backup in our Vss database, the file that contains all the user and license key info so that in the event we loose the hard drive to to a mech. failure, I can just load SOS server onto another PC and load the config files to be back on-line.
Can anyone cofirm for me which files would need to be backed up? I believe they are sossvr.prp and sossvr.kys but I just want to make sure.
Thanks,
Mark
Backing up SOS Server Setup Information

The properties file has the Server Manager configuration, so you'd want to back that up.
If you move SOS to a different machine, you would need to regenerate the SOS user keys, as these are based on the machine name or IP. So the sossvr.kys would be ok to backup if you're restoring to the same machine, less important if you're moving to a different machine.
