SQL Server Performance

Post by Toby » Fri Nov 10, 2006 5:44 am

Our Vault database has hit about 7GB, are there any recommendations for creating filgroups and/or splitting log/data files and creating multiple filegroups to increase performance.

regards

Toby.

We don't have any official recommendations along those lines.

We have some recommendations for database maintenance: http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=2924
And here's our recommendations for improving Vault performance:

You could get some speed improvements by using a fast RAID for your server or moving the temp DB out to a striped RAID. There are some tables you could maybe split. With any of these ideas, we haven't done any testing to ensure stability or for coming up with a best practices with it. If you want to get fancy with it, send an email through to support at sourcegear.com
