user rights

Hi,

i am using sourceoffsite classic 4.1.2 version. i am trying to set the user permission for projects. i am facing a problem, that when i tried to login with a username(test) that has no permission for any project. But i am able to view all the projects icluding all the contents in the project. i dont want to display the project for that particular user. how to do this? immediate help on this issue may helpful for me. thanks in advance.

The behavior of project rights in SOS is determined by the VSS automation component used by the SOS Server. This is supplied by the VSS client installed on the SOS Server machine. With 6.0c, users can see the files, though they can't check them out. You would need VSS 6.0d or later on the SOS Server machine so that users do not see files they do not have access to.
