Delete From Vault and cleanup

How do I delete a project From Valut so it does not show as under source in VS 2003 - We are using V 2.06 - Upgrading to newest version of Vault as well as VS2005. Need to get everything off and maintain 2 versions on local machine in a clean up phase then put it all back on new server Vault. Thanks

Thank you - It seems there should be easier way to remove a project from Source control but I guess not. Will try to work around it.
